When you use the MOI Companion app, we collect additional information to provide you with personalized pregnancy wellness content. Information you provide as part of this experience includes:

• Current pregnancy week and due date
• Your intention for using the Companion (optional)
• Practice completions and reflections (optional)
• Messages you send to the AI Companion

Information We Collect Automatically:

• App usage data (which content you view, practices you complete)

• Add you to our waitlist

• Personalize your experience based on your pregnancy week
• Provide AI-powered conversational support
• Send practice reminders and reflections
• Improve the app experience and content quality
• Send occasional updates about Mother of Invention products and events (you can opt out)

Your reflections and AI conversations are private and never shared publicly or used for marketing without your consent.

3. SMS Messaging

When you sign up for MOI Companion, you consent to receive text messages including:
• Weekly pregnancy wellness content
• Practice reminders
• Account notifications
• Occasional promotional messages about Mother of Invention products and events

• Message Frequency: Varies. Typically 1-3 messages per week for content, plus occasional promotions (2-3 per month maximum).
• Opt-Out: You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will immediately stop receiving all messages.

• Costs: Message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
• Privacy: We use Twilio to deliver text messages. Your phone number is stored securely and never sold or shared for third-party marketing.

4. Sharing Your Information

We may share your information with service providers we trust—like email platforms or analytics tools—but only for the purposes described above. These providers are required to keep your data secure and confidential.

5. Your Choices

You can unsubscribe from emails at any time using the link in our messages. If you'd like to access, correct, or delete your data, just email us at hello@motherofinvention.com.

For MOI Companion users:You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time in the app settings. You can opt out of SMS messages by replying STOP. To completely delete your account and all associated data, email hello@motherofinvention.com with "Delete My Companion Account" in the subject line.

6. Data Security and Retention

We implement security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access. While no system is 100% secure, we work hard to safeguard your data using up-to-date practices.

•We retain your MOI Companion app data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account:
• Your phone number and personal information are deleted immediately.
• Your anonymized usage data may be retained for analytics (no personal identifiers)
• AI conversation history is deleted within 30 days
• Inactive accounts (no login for 12+ months) may be automatically deleted after email notification.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our site and waitlist are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we’ll let you know through the email you provided or on our site.
